This place is consistently good! The taquitos are my favorite but the burritos and tacos are great too. The staff is always friendly too. I recommend!

We love the food every time, it's consistent in quality & we appreciate that so much. As a vegetarian... Potato rolled tacos...... must I say anything else? I don't eat anything else except the chips & pico & cheese quesadilla. Absolutely enough for me. Delicious, service is fast & thorough. My partner tried almost everything on the menu & enjoyed everything except for the huevos but everyone should always check what's on the huevos since it's always different.

I came here tonight at around 4am after working a usual late night shift in Downtown HB. I had never been here before, but this very nice lady helped me with the ordering process, and was very friendly. (If she's not already a manager/owner she needs to be promoted in my opinion) Most places you go to at unusual hours (4am) are not very friendly and seem irritated by your presence. That was not the case at castañeda's mexican food in Huntington Beach! They were friendly, kind, considerate and eager to serve me. It's hard to find a place to eat after work (anywhere from 3am-4am) when you don't drive and cannot go through a 24hr drive thru. I just so happened to Uber tonight and I wanted some good Mexican food. I have to say, this restaurant exceeded my expectations, both with their customer service as well as their delicious food. I ordered a carnitas quesadilla with sour cream and guacamole, which was outstanding, as well as a Chili Verde Wet Burrito, which I'm saving for tomorrow before I go to work. Anyways, thanks again castañeda's mexican food, you made my night a lot better!

Wanted to try somewhere new and found this place. We ordered the fish taco plates that came with refried beans and rice. The tacos were big and tasty. We ordered for take out and were given two different hot sauces, which were very good. The service was fast and food was hot. The 4 star is for fish being a bit soggy and no crunch. Maybe had we eaten at the restaurant it would have been crispier. Overall, I highly recommend.
